Minimum System Requirements

This page contains the minimum system requirements you should have to be able to host the running and training of AI applications successfully.

Hardware requirements

  • 8 CPU Cores
  • 16 GB RAM
  • GPU NVIDIA RTX 3080+
  • 160 GB disk space (SSD recommended)
  • Docker 20+

Network Connectivity

  • 100+ Mbps internet connection
  • Static IP

Software requirements

Find below the details for your system requirements to participate in the OpenFabric AI protocol.

Operating System

We currently support the following platforms:

  • Ubuntu 20.04
  • Windows is NOT supported!

CUDA and cuDNN

If using NVIDIA GPUs, installing CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) and cuDNN (NVIDIA CUDA Deep Neural Network) libraries can enhance performance.

Conclusion

To participate in the Openfabric AI protocol, ensure your system meets these minimum requirements: 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3080 or higher GPU, at least 160 GB SSD storage, Docker 20+, and a 100+ Mbps internet connection with a static IP. The protocol supports Ubuntu 20.04 but not Windows. For enhanced performance with NVIDIA GPUs, use CUDA and cuDNN libraries.
